So it is looking good for the coming breeding season. You may be lucky to catch some display or even mating though the latter usually takes place away from the cameras!
At some point fairly soon we will need to clean up the nest and realign the cameras.....but not today with this gale force wind! The nest platform faces east so avoids getting the worse of the weather - both wind and rain.....

Any new on cleaning out nesting platform?????
The platform will be cleaned before any eggs are laid don't worry.
However, for an abseil down to the nest, we need a day when there is no wind and it si warm and they have been in short supply recently.
And of course in the wild, peregrines have no such 'clean-up' service provided. they lay their eggs among last year's debris unless it has blown off during the winter.

Ps. and actually, the gravel side of the platform where any eggs will be laid is pretty clean anyway even if we couldn't get down in time.....and there's a decent 'scrape' in the middle already!
Did say she would lay when platform was cleaned. Watching with anticipation for more eggs
