Photo taken by Dave Farmer today (Wednesday 14th) show the juvenile looking good!
Dave said: Juvenile looking really great. All alone. Adults not around.
It fed for about an hour right at the back of a lead water spout so only it's back end could be seen.
Much wing flapping just like when it was on the nest before fledging. Eventually it took off, did a 180 and flew away strongly and high in the sky.
Thanks Dave!

That's great news. Thanks to Dave for the update and the photos.
Okay, but if the adults aren’t there is it ready to feed for itself?
Many thanks for the new pics Dave!
The adults are very much around Anonymous as my vids of yesterday show, they will be teaching the youngster to hunt & passing prey to him for quite some time to come ... they are still calling into the scrape plus having bonding sessions as this footage illustrates ...

Good to see the adult pair strengthening their bond albeit briefly

Linjoy sanctuary have posted about their rescue of the fledgling on their Facebook page with a lovely photo.

I hope he's okay today with all the thunderstorms/rain in Derby over the past 24 hours.

Mum visiting scrape this mirning, had a very long preening session but didn't see her leave, live in hope of seeing the youngster visit!

Adult on scrape now. Can be seen on camera 2.
Have also seen feathers raining down from above, so hopefully youngster is being fed.....
Saw this @ 10.44 yesterday Jean but no sightings today
https://youtu.be/fcyLpUuX2n4
Finally an adult can be seen preening itself on cam 2……
Has been a while since we saw a visit Jean, I have been recording!
If you look below the ledge on camera 2 you can see one of the falcons in what appears to be an incubating position. It's been there on and off for over a week now I'm wondering if another egg or eggs have been laid.
Hi Anonymous, I think it is pigeons nesting below the ledge, they nested there last year.
Adult obviously having a very restful day today Wendy!
The adult bird is still there, is it Mum?
The pigeon pair nest there very frequently, saw one egg a couple of days ago!
See the pigeon egg here plus adult visit today, was there for a long time, flew off but returned quickly, has just flown off again
https://youtu.be/13thkdkJwaU
Is it Mum or Dad?
Thanks. I've just been on Wendy's YouTube channel and she says the same.
Some footage from 4th July which I forgot to post, just a head view of adult, Mum?,
https://youtu.be/tqoledHIIT8
Same view again today briefly!
Adult seems to have taken a liking to near scrape on cam #2

Just a head view of adult in scrape on cam #2 now
Adult, I think Mum, is on scrape ledge now in full view on cam #2
Unusual visitor to scrape this morning
https://youtu.be/nkNHZToVEYw
The unusual visitor was also there on Tuesday afternoon Wendy.
Adult sitting preening on cam 2 now, don’t know how long it has been there……
Haven't seen any more of the Wood Pigeon but there has been some action in the near scrape on cam #1, some fresh remnants of prey and one of the eggs broken open and completely empty ... can see the head of an adult on cam #2 from time to time!
The feral pigeon nest below still ongoing!
An adult can be seen on cam 2 now. Apart from preening, keeps looking up the tower…..guess others are a bit higher up.
Saw the remnants of prey and broken egg, sometimes just the top of the head appears briefly.
Think we had a young buzzard on our patio Saturday afternoon!!
1just realised that I had forgotten to post a vid of the females actions on scrape on 17th
https://youtu.be/qyYFFPuh5go
I was hoping that the juvenile might be around!
Today there is was an adult, think female, on s rape with a really well stuffed crop, went into other side fairly quickly
https://youtu.be/kJ_kU2xG7_k
We have been seeing more Buzzards flying over but only landed in a tree nearby once!
We regularly see buzzards overhead over our house. We live about a mile north of the cathedral. Wonderful to see.
You can often see the buzzards over Darley Abbey village which is not too far from the cathedral. There are sometimes 3 of them. Is this a flock? We have a nature reserve nearby.
Some recent visits of our female

An unusual visitor yesterday

Our female was on the scrape this morning having a good preen, was there for at least an hour, this footage in 4x speed

Logged on to find the cams unavailable again, have they been switched off?
The whole project seems very half hearted this year. If they need money to keep things like the webcams going they need to get online more and get people involved not the hardly joining in by the team that's happened this year. It's very sad but to be honest it's so typical of Derby. No-one seems to care about anything any more. We've got no theatres, no market, locked up car parks ... you name it. Derby had it but it's been closed down.
Wendy: cams should be back on later today.
NB
Many thanks Nick!
A further delay but now hopefully back on within 48 hours.
Will keep checking!
Good to have the cams back, thanks to all con erned!
Visit from our female this morning
https://youtu.be/jLFI9iBbU60
Great to have the cams back, thank you.
Saw a brief visit of both adults this morning, just one sitting in the sunshine
at the moment.
Pleased to hear that you have seen them too Jean, was it at same time as my vid? Thinking that I may have got ID's wrong and that it was the male with the large crop?
Footage of adult visitor(s) over the past three days

Very well fed adult on scrape this morning

Very interesting view of two buzzards yesterday. We live about a mile north of the cathedral. They were so noisy it brought me out of the house. Had about ten minutes watching them directly over our garden. Fascinating.
First view of adult, female? this month, moved into other scrape and still there now, can see head from time to time
