Logie and Beatrice are female ospreys, birds which migrate between West Africa and their breeding areas in north Scotland. Both have satellite transmitters fixed to them thus enabling their every move to be followed.
Beatrice has just crossed the English Channel, having paid a brief visit to Rutland Water while the Bird Fair was running there last Saturday. Logie has just set off from her nest, 15 days later than she began migrating last summer.
Go the Roy Dennis' website to follow these birds and others that he has tagged (including a honey buzzard which will also soon set off south too):

Thanks for keeping the blog updated.
I'm still checking in here, how weird is that :-)
Pax Canada 12.09am
Not weird at all Karen Ann :-)
I check in every day and am sometimes rewarded with seeing one of the falcons, soon it will be time to watch the falcons in Australia
Another 'weirdo' here !
A couple of mornings recently, I've been rewarded with the sight of both adults on the cameras. :)
Peregrine on the tower - I haven't seen one for so long, it was such a surprise.
Someone seems to be having breakfast. It's a little hard to tell since his or her back is to the camera, but there are a lot of feathers around.
Handsome birdie on the nestbox. I couldn't get a good look at his/her front, but the stripes seem to be horizontal.

falcon just below nest box
Falcon below the next box, but not on the gizmo I usually see a bird on, rather a couple to the side of that.
And a visitor at the pudding cam. After some time of seeing no one, these last few days are nice.
On froona's blog, story abiout the amazing amount of work to get a peregrine back to the wild -

Falcon on the nest edge, maybe having breakfast?
News from the Alcoa Anglesea peregrine folk. I don't think they realize we would like to see even if the guys are there only a little bit :-)
"Havoc and Sheila have returned to the nest box at Anglesea.
however they haven't quite settled in yet so the vision from the camera is of an empty nest box for most of the time.
rest assured the camera will be back on the web in the very near future.
and hopefully and exciting breeding season lays ahead."

Lucked out today, one falcon on the scrape and one on the pudding cam
