The falcon will leave her egg on its own and that is quite normal.
Incubation will not start until the third or fourth egg is laid.

We will have to keep our eye on the markings of each egg so as we can determine who is who at hatch CHOL:):) but with our lovely Wendy's vids, we can always go back.
She has chosen to settle with her egg again tonight, maybe another by Monday lunchtime??

Apologies re. the lack of the second web cam. Attempts will be made tomorrow to get it back online but this will involve a visit to the cathedral tower.....

Can’t see either camera- is it me?
No, Emma, it's not you. We have put up a notice on our webcam page, explaining that a technical issue with some equipment essential to internet connectivity appears to be faulty. Tim Unwin from Derby City Council's Network Team is looking into this today as a priority, and we hope to know more later today.
In essence, a fault with a DHCP server means our system has lost all the unique individual IP addresses that allow communication to occur. In other words, bit of kit like cameras, routers and wireless links don't know how to talk to each other right now until the server is fixed.
I attempted to reboot our camera equipment yesterday from inside the Cathedral Tower, but I'm that only caused the other working address to disappear too!
