Update 31st May:
This video by Wendy taken today shows the youngster on the edge of the platform flapping its wings. With no siblings to accidentally push it over the edge we feel pretty confident that it will be OK but time will tell.....
The chick is growing very fast on its 'Atkin's diet' of meat, meat and more meat!

If you are interested in peregrines' prey items there is analysis of prey taken by peregrines on Lundy Island. This is how to find it: website is https://hawkandowltrust.org/ then click on 'Learn an Discover' then click on 'Research Papers'.
The first article is prey items. (When selected the display is as pages in a magazine. I found it to be a bit of a puzzle how to zoom the display and turn pages but I am not tech savvy but I managed. If I can do it, you can do it!) What I found a little surprising is that there are 5 peregrine pairs on Lundy which is 2.5 miles by 1 mile.
The second article is about dispersal of chicks when they fly the nest (pun intended).

Youngster is currently hanging far over front ledge, making me feel distinctly nervous! Thank goodness she's gone into other scrape!
Mum came in at 09.58 with substantial to feed youngster ... sped up some as he/she moved in front of Mum

Lost part of this feed due to power cut, came in at 18.06 to see Mum feeding our youngster who was in view for a change, speeded up half way through so we could see it all, youngster developed a decent crop size

AM ASSUMING FLEDGING HAS HAPPENED AS NO PEREGRINES IN SIGHT
Why would you assume that, when nothing being in sight is the default this year as both cameras are pointing at only one side of the platform? The chick has been on the other side out of view most of the time.
If you look carefully on cam #1 you can make out the feathers of youngster sleeping in the other scrape!

Has been windy for a couple of weeks now but birds take no notice, I am on east coast & very chilly in

It's the next stage of progression. Won't be too long before it's on the edge for quite long spells. Honing the grip it will need to have to allow it to be anchored there. Taking everything in. Gauging it's exit route - "if I jump up 25 degrees and forwards at the same time I should be OK. On the other hand, maybe I need to give it more thought. No rush still a while to go yet".

Suddenly the board dividing the scrapes has become youngster's favourite place to perch!
Wendy, I had a day out on the east coast recently. Bempton cliffs RSPB in Yorkshire. What an amazing place. Saw a peregrine amongst many other birds. Well worth a visit.
Ìmagine it would be a great place to visit but unfortunately no doable for me! However we do have Peregrines nesting locally in SE Kent! No live streaming though!
It's been warm in Derby until recently though. Almost felt like summer briefly

He's lonely and hungry isn't he. Poor little fluffkin.
I cycled past on the way home from work and heard him from the river! Got home and looked at webcam, he seems really hungry and parents are just sitting above him not paying any attention. Will have to turn off as I cannot bear listening to him. Hope he gets some food soon!!

Looking now on cam #2 I feel sure that the youngster is perched on ledge beside Mum, can see fluff from top of it's head blowing in the wind every so often!

You're very welcome Kate, have to remember that there are feeds we don't see, many are completely out of sight in the other scrape ... am sure we'd notice if the youngster was seriously food deprived, noticed him/her trying to bring up a pellet earlier today!

Something white with a green ring on leg just been fed about entirely to the chick. Adult has just disappeared over the ledge with the wings and feet!

Anonymous, its a bus route for the red Trent Barton buses. They go along Full Street which is the road you can just see and is at the back of the cathedral. This is where the watch days take place. The buses then go past the council house (big reddish building) and then onto the bus station ( white zig zag building, top left)
I know this is nothing to do with peregrines but some may find it interesting!
