Our main aim was to get her back up to the top of the tower.
Next year we will at least try to identify the nearest vet willing and able to examine peregrines before any should they come to ground.
Nick B (Derbyshire Wildlife Trust)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517644049991406941.post-17267861937349231592008-07-20T00:21:00.000+01:002008-07-20T00:21:00.000+01:00Hi, anon,I am going to guess 003 was not vet check...Hi, anon,

I am going to guess 003 was not vet checked. I watch a lot of raptor sites (a benefit of being retired), and if a fledgling seems okay, it seems to be standard to place him or her back immediately.

I am guessing 003 ran into some trouble later. There are lots of perils for a fledgling anywhere, but esp. in a city. Collisions, a disease called frounce, etc.

Like you, I am hoping 003 is still out there and well.Karen Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13306986336556283751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517644049991406941.post-15551838314498171692008-07-19T19:36:00.000+01:002008-07-19T19:36:00.000+01:00Was the bird vet checked on its fall or was it jus...Was the bird vet checked on its fall or was it just placed back.
Sad news but you never know might be around some where?(LETS HOPE)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517644049991406941.post-77733778278645922902008-07-19T16:39:00.000+01:002008-07-19T16:39:00.000+01:00I think we have to assume 003 is dead, sad as that...I think we have to assume 003 is dead, sad as that is for us to contemplate (and for me especially since I rescued her and held her in my hands!)
Even at rural nest sites, many fledgling peregrines don't survive the early days of flying, so we have to expect some lossesa t this stage, sad as it is.
Nick B (DWT)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517644049991406941.post-31633817691384266942008-07-19T14:33:00.000+01:002008-07-19T14:33:00.000+01:00Falcon on pudding cam!!!!Falcon on pudding cam!!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517644049991406941.post-8157778628454095482008-07-17T04:45:00.000+01:002008-07-17T04:45:00.000+01:00pax Canada 8.44pm2 on the pudding cam, one on the ...pax Canada 8.44pm
2 on the pudding cam, one on the scrapeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517644049991406941.post-78068557402843733612008-07-16T23:54:00.000+01:002008-07-16T23:54:00.000+01:00pax Canada 3.53pmbirdon the pudding cam, eating I ...pax Canada 3.53pm
birdon the pudding cam, eating I thinkAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517644049991406941.post-83114971265388523152008-07-16T16:26:00.000+01:002008-07-16T16:26:00.000+01:00pax Canada 8.26amfalcon on the scrape :-)pax Canada 8.26am
falcon on the scrape :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517644049991406941.post-12733804198998899962008-07-16T16:23:00.000+01:002008-07-16T16:23:00.000+01:00Any news on 003 anyone?GazAny news on 003 anyone?

GazAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517644049991406941.post-6011898621911959592008-07-16T14:07:00.000+01:002008-07-16T14:07:00.000+01:001401-1405Mum was on the ledge with a pigeon for lu...1401-1405

Mum was on the ledge with a pigeon for lunch until flying off with it.Terry, Herts UKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08581540633600423284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517644049991406941.post-43398822739638942962008-07-16T11:31:00.000+01:002008-07-16T11:31:00.000+01:00Falcon 'at home' on pud cam, wonderful!!Falcon 'at home' on pud cam, wonderful!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517644049991406941.post-47877906527497127142008-07-16T08:08:00.000+01:002008-07-16T08:08:00.000+01:00pax Canada 12.08amfalcon on the pudding campax Canada 12.08am
falcon on the pudding camAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517644049991406941.post-67252182986389424662008-07-15T20:17:00.000+01:002008-07-15T20:17:00.000+01:00Yes sorry; not £8000 worth of donations unfortunat...Yes sorry; not £8000 worth of donations unfortunately - just £800 - but a very valuable £800 and a big thanks you to everyone who has contributed so far!
