Wow what a day in London

Ten thousand folk walked through central London to present a Manifesto to the PM at Downing Street yesterday....a remarkable turnout...and mostly in pouring rain!
Along Pall Mall, a peregrine flew above us as if to applaud our efforts....
Lots of stuff on social media and YT if you want to find out more about it.....

Thanks for the best wishes from those who couldn't make it....and the donations to the crowdfunder underpinning the costs of the event.

You are an absolute hero, NB, not only for making the effort to be one of the "sodden 10,000" but for organising at your own expense and initiative a coach down to London for any Derby folks who were as passionate as you about going. What a fantastic coincidence that my husband managed to spot you in the throng as we walked down Pall Mall! You didn't tell me about the peregrine, would have loved to have spotted that. Mind you, it was hard to hear any other sounds above the birdsong being generated from the crowd. It couldn't drown out the ring necked parakeets though, there were so many and so loud! You are a fully paid up member of not only the "sodden 570" club but the "sodden 10,000" club. Well done and thank you for all you do, you are a fantastic ambassador for Derby Peregrines and wildlife in general. :)

Great view of a juvenile peregrine on the webcams at the moment. An adult bird sitting on the stonework below the platform.
